I bloody wish mine was an 8, this engine in a D2. Heavan. My original cactus D2 S8 is the best Audi I've ever owned.

hell yea much lighter the D2 with that engine, wander how the chap with the home bru RS8 is getting on

I'll be in Spain that weekend, and my 8 will be with me on the Costa Del Sol.

If we're not on holiday I/we should be able to make this +++

Darren, I'm flying in from Florida on the 23rd too! Going through work and had to fly from up north so we are more then likely on the same flight. If so small world eh? See you in the US, I'll also be at GTI International on the Sunday +++

Ohh, I'm flying in on the 22nd so will just miss you, I'm not going to be spending much time in Orlando, just flying there as I get a free flight from work to Orlando, jumping in a Chevy Tahoe and driving four hours south to Miami for 7 days. :cool:

Tahoe? Get the Suburban it's got more presence and more grunt, it's a bit of a beast ( he said taking out a few more californian cars as he swings the front around the next corner). :D

It is our car hire supplier through work that are giving me the car, and it is a Chevy Tahoe or similar, or I can take the Cadillac DTS which is a 4.6 litre V8 with 290 BHP and a four speed box, every single car on the list is truly dreadful to be honest. I cannot believe people actually pay money for these American cars. The Mustang a few months back wasn't too bad actually, the interior was good as was the sound system, engine was gutless though.

Amar try a Chevy Camaro SS 6-speed whilst you're out there. That would be my first choice. :)

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make either date, I'll have my hands pretty full of engines, trans and B5 A4Q.

Thats because the american Logic to gain more power is just a larger engine !! rather than tuning what you already have, Cadillac 4.6L V8 290 bhp Vs Audi 4.2 360bhp +++

Yep, in fact. The B8 RS 4 has 450! Audi were knocking out 360 BHP out of smaller V8s in 1999 :ROFL:

The Chevy Suburban was fun trying to negotiate the streets of San Francisco lol - I couldn't get it to do any of the car chase style take offs at all . . . :Confused:
Still it was like driving a big leather wafted armchair down the PCH :D
