Interesting. I never knew the D2 A8/S8 had an OEM front upper strut brace.

My 2001 3.7 QS has one of these fitted.

iirc early facelifts dont, it came in later on as standard kit.... +++

My car is MY 2002, so will most likely have one fitted. I've just never looked. :o

I would imagine, it'll tighten up the handling. Pretty much like the Audi Coupe S2 and V6, they had an OEM brace, and their turn-in was sharper than Coupe without. Same goes for B5 2,5 TDI and S4 - they were braced as standard, other models weren't.

You'd have thought the S8 would have it then...... :Confused:

You could always retro-fit, it's not expensive to buy used. +++

A8 parts have a couple by the looks of it.. and that auction has ended.

I don't recall seeing one on my fe -anyone got a pic of one in situ?

I had a look around my FL S8 while I was putting the gearbox back in.

It has one of these but it's hidden underneath the black plastic covers behind the bulkhead so not easy to see.

Yep. I pulled of the cover on the driver's side, can just see the bracket and the cross bar.
