Genuine Audi iPhone 4S cradle?
I recently had the original phone prep removed and a genuine Audi Bluetooth kit fitted.
This however left the original Audi handset in the driver armrest which is about as much as a chocolate teapot. Is there a genuine Audi iPhone 4S cradle that I could fit in place of the clunky handset that would hold & charge my iPhone? Pictures/prices? Thanks & kind regards, -=Glyn=- |
You need to get the different console insert which has the modular attachment, then the 100+ quid for the adapter.
That hadnset comes out easily and you could splice a socket into the lighter power underneath and run a charger cable up (that's what I did). |
you mean one of these?
http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1331266819 . . . and then you can buy an rSAP adapter to clik onto it! ahem. . . . |
I have one of those, don't have a clue what it does and don't know what rSAP is :(
|
its a "Gen II" phone prep low plate which basically allows you to clik on a series of adapters that will hold/charge different phone handsets which will then make use of the car's arial on the roof to give a better signal etc.
see HERE for rSAP adapter and details +++ |
Thanks for the info, not sure I really need that

Probably not, though there may be a cradle for it.

So where does the Audi phones that are always on ebay come into this. Is it an in-car phone that requires a separate Sim card?

Yup.. this is the 'old' kit, needed a SIM in it and although that handset there is bluetooth, the kit didn't work with bluetooth phones. Had one in my PF D3 and swapped it for a proper BT kit.

I think I will just stick with the set-up I have
