Interior trim

Some of you will have seen this at the Lake District meet.

It's a full set (I think) of interior 'wood' trim that has been wrapped in a dark grey (carbon?) material. It's not 100% perfect, but it is quite a nice effect. I took it to try in my '8, but I prefer the dark myrtle, even if it doesn't extend to the door trim around the window switches.

So, if anyone would like it, it'll cost you just the postage (not sure what that will be - it's not heavy, but it is a little bulky), or you can collect from The Laird's estate. :)

Does it fit PF cars as well? If it does I would be interested to give it a go an see how it looks.

The_Laird 12th August 2012 05:40 PM

I have no idea, but I'm sure the gurus will be along soon to answer the question :)

thebluewhale 12th August 2012 05:51 PM

Do you have any close up pics?

I may be interested if it doesn't fit ainarssems car. I've got a platinum grey interior and think it'll work well.

ainarssems 12th August 2012 06:23 PM

Well at least centre console trim is different so I back off.

The_Laird 12th August 2012 09:34 PM

I can take pics to order for anyone interested. Just let me know what's required. It's just that I'm from Yorkshire stock, so waste is against my religion! :)

Bits for pf

Other than the centre console bit for the rns...The other bits should fit the pf I believe....

thebluewhale 13th August 2012 05:39 AM

Jim,

If you can take some pics of some individual pieces so I can get a better idea of the colour.

Thanks

Here we go. The second photo is the best colour likeness, but they do look better in the photos as you can't see the odd wrinkle here and there.

Il have it if no one else wants it
Looks quite cool AND i can come n collect it from wherever you are in Scottieland. Im just outside Glasgow

thebluewhale 15th August 2012 07:21 AM

I may regret this but I'm not 100% on the trims. I'm out but I'd like to see some before and after pics when you fit them

The_Laird 15th August 2012 08:00 AM

I have the blue whale and goglawrie ahead of you in the queue. Just waiting to confirm if they want it or not.

But if they don't, I work in Robroyston, so should be easy to pick up.

thebluewhale 15th August 2012 08:20 AM

Jim,

I'll leave it thanks.

Steve

BigladUK 21st August 2012 10:35 AM

Did anyone take this off your hands ?

If not I'd love to give this a try in my 08

Rear door trims won't fit though as I'm a LWB and I think yours are SWB

08? They are for D2 1999-2002 not for D3 or did you mean just 8 not 08

The_Laird 21st August 2012 10:56 AM

They're up for grabs. Can you get to Robroyston during the week? We're close to Asda

Aah. Thank you very much +++

ainarssems 21st August 2012 12:05 PM

Royal mail gets expensive very quickly on larger items and over 2 kg for international parcels. They do Parcelforce in post office that should be more cost effective. Also you might want to check parcel2go.com You can usualluy get better price on Parcelforce then in post office.

PsYcHe 21st August 2012 01:53 PM

parcel2go or parcelmonkey ... I had a quote that was half of the parcelforce website price, but it still went with them :)

Dave McB 22nd August 2012 07:32 AM

I thought someone had already had taken these off ya hands.

Work about 5 mins drive from robroyston so if u dont get shot of them i can catch u anytime.. Just PM me :)

The_Laird 1st September 2012 08:43 AM

Guys

The Post Office wants around £46 to post to Norway, so I suppose that's a non-starter. Even shopping around, it's going to be upwards of £25 I expect.

Dave McB - they're yours for collection if SilverS8 doesn't want to shell out the postage. I'm only in the office on Monday this week, so let me know when's good for you.
