D3 A8 ENGINE WANTED. Code: ASB. 3.0 TDI
As title, urgently need an engine it MUST be this week. Sooner the better.++++++++++++
Not paying Audi £8300 for one  |
It that bad??? What's the final decision on the failure?
|
wow thats harsh, sorry to hear that becky
presume youve already spoken to a8parts theres a few on ebay to check out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A8-20...item3f1ce7b777 including this one 3K supply and fitted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A8-3-...item337847b37e |
Well, it's either a piston or crank I think, but looking at the costs of these engines it might be worth replacing parts.
Will be giving A8 parts a call shortly. Thanks for the ad info guys. I am just skeptical having anyone else do the work :( I trust myself and a friend to do it and I need it back on the road at the weekend :( Not fun :( |
maybe they will do a deal without the fitting if its the right engine
|
They wont supply without the fitting - just got back to me :(
|
A8 Parts don't have one either :(
Not having much luck with anything lately :'( |
I'd consider letting that seller supply and fit, it's a good price, and the warranty helps too.
What exactly happened to the old one? |
I would tend to agree with that view+++

From Audi, when you have a new engine or head, it's normally bare. On some engines it's built, but these are whereby the labour costs in stripping and transferring stuff over is expensive (generally on warranty units). |
This might be worth a look - know of a couple of people who've been in need of S4 BBK motors and this place has come up trumps on both occasions and no issues shipping to the UK
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Audi-A4-A6-3-...item2a159f699e I gather they speak/write English perfectly well so no issues dealing with them. Depends on the exchange rate you can get £ to Euro and what shipping charge will be, plus if you can wait that long. General consensus seems to be that their descriptions and mileages stack up when the goods arrive. Hope you get it sorted soon.... |
Thanks for all the help guys.
I've bought a 2009 CCW engine from a Q5 with 19,000 miles on the clock. Currently fitting it now. :-) nice updates on this engine where the timing chains are concerned, and the rest is exactly the same once I pop my EGR system on it :-) It wasn't the cheapest engine I found, but it looks brand new (inside and out) :-) |
