A8 S8 D2 20" RS4 9 Spoke Wheels

15 Attachment(s)
*finally* I've got round to giving them a wash. These are surplus as I now have a new set on my D3, and even though these are 8.5J D2 wheels, they came on my current D3. Anyway, they're in the way so need to shift em.

Consider the tyres worthless - 2 are through the markers, 1 is through to the chords. The other is passable, but for purposes of this sale, consider these as 'rim only' with some rubber shipping protection.

The condition is 'good'. They are not mint, they are not pristine. They have been refurbed at some point and the paint has chipped in a couple of places, and very lightly scuffed in others. There is a small (3 inch) very ligh curbing on one rim. Most of this damage came from me stacking them, rather than road damage <doh>

From a distance, they look just fine and most people wouldnt pick up on the defects, but I like to be thorough.

Center caps are all present, again not mint, but quite presentable.

The guy that prepared my current wheels checked the 'trueness' of these for me, 1 was excellent, 2 were slightly out and 1 was more out. Again, they ride fine and I'm sure they'll balance out fine but dont run away with the idea these are mint, as it seems most second hand alloys rarely are.

Not sure what they're worth. Make me a sensible offer.

I can sort out shipping at cost, circa £50.

Going on previous for sale adverts.....................

Refurb'd with new tyres £1200
Rims and Tyres in very good condition £850
Needing refurb'd and tyres £500

So I would say you should be looking at £600?!?!?!?!

This is IMO though and would love to buy them but I'm going to have to be happy with just getting my OG 18's refurb'd! +++

To be honest at 600 these would be an absolute steal....judging by condition easily worth 800 for reasonably quick sale...

SilverS8 24th October 2012 07:19 AM

I sooo want these!

but 800 + 200 in shipping and another 250 in tax really ruins it!:(

daviesbike 24th October 2012 08:19 AM

Could do to see £750 for them tbh.

Much less than that I'd probably find somewhere to store them as they'd probably come in handy at some point....

How much is a set of branded tyres for these roughly?

Going to see one on Saturday that has 18" Avus alloys, if I buy that one I'll be interested in these wheels!

Bump.

£500 to anyone that can pick em up before xmas from Harrogate, North Yorks.

Garage is piling up with stuff and even though its cold, I need a bit of room making in there to sort stuff out....

Hi Ian,

At this price, I'll have these from you, if still available (and assuming that these are the same size rims/fit as the FE wheels for my s8).

However, I won't be able to confirm this until the end of Tuesday that I can pick these up before Christmas, as my s8 is going into Chester Transmissions on Tuesday to get the gearbox flushed/checked. I (should) then be able to pick up on Wednesday or Thursday.

Let me know if you're ok to wait till end of Tuesday for confirmation - I'll understand if you want a firm confirmation before then.

Stephen

They are same size and fitment as your current FE's..

@ £500 I do want to see them gone asap really - If I had patience, I'd have just dropped them a little bit ;)

Give me an update Tues, if they're unclaimed I'm sure we can work something out +++

Architex_mA8tey 16th December 2012 10:06 AM

Tintin why not use wheel courier.com to collect them from Ian?
It's about £30 for 4 wheels and tyres I've used them before +++

Richierich37 16th December 2012 11:50 AM

Bargain!

Good idea - though I'm planning to combine this with a couple of other things that I need to do at the same time in Yorkshire....and my s8 has been sat on my driveway waiting for its gearbox treatment, so I'm quite keen to get behind the wheel again ;)

Enquired, Collected, Gone..... +++

Thanks for the interest guys, I have room in my garage again :D

Cheers fella, you may well see them on a road near you in the future, I'm a regular visitor to your part of the world. +++

I'll be sure to put some photos on here when I get them fitted in the spring, just need a couple of months to save up for decent tyres first! :)
