Front Wiper Motor
Hi Guys,
Anyone got a spare wiper motor laying around for a 1997 D2 PF (Part Nos 4D2 955 113 B) Mine has finally given up the ghost so needs to be replaced. I've heard new one's from TPS are circa £160 + VAT. Our forum sponsor has one, but they still want £85 plus £7.99 postage. Didn't really want to spend that much :-( Thanks, David |

Part number 4D2955113B, dealer price £230. Not shared with any other models, D2 specific part but same on both PF and FL.
|
Take the B off the end and it's also a SEAT motor. Is there any difference in the motor or just the gubbins that bolts to it?
|
Not according to Etka. 4D2955113 comes up for PF D2 only but is discontinued and superseeded by 4D2955113B on 30/09/1997 which is used for both PF and FL.

I got a quote from the Stealers and they quoted £204.96 incl VAT. Special order which takes 48 hours with no return or refund either

If you really really desperate and prepared to spend 40-50quid in total for a used motor, but just the motor, then I could possible get you one within couple of weeks... |
This one looks exactly as the one you are after, but D1 instead of D2 and C instead of B in part number...
£80 inc. delivery to UK http://www.ebay.de/itm/Wischermotor-...item53ff8493d8 |
That's for LHD but you could probably use just the electric part with mechanical part from RHD

Wiper Motor
Took the plunge and bought a new one from TPS @£192 incl VAT.
Fitting was £65 from a local Audi Independent. Such a big difference in performance. Hadn't realised how slow my old motor was until the new one was installed. Just need to reset the parking position as they do not lay flat at the bottom of the screen. They stop at circa 5 inches off the bottom of the screen. Can anyone advise if this be done via VCDS? The wipe is correct though. Thanks David  |
The wiper position is set by where the arms are set on the splines of the drive. It seems like the person who did the motor replacement hasnt set them up properly. Just undo the nut under the plastic cover and gently pull the wipers off and replace on the splines at the correct angle. You may have to do it a few times to get it right. +++

Thanks David
