Wanted- centre caps
 

I'm after a set of these centre caps;

They're for the 20" 9 spoke wheels but I believe the 17" and 18" versions SHOULD fit too.

Part number is 8D0 601 165K.

They must be in very good condition.

I asked my mate and he sent me this.

Work away, they're a bit more than I'm looking to spend.

In my experience these rarely go for much less than you can get them new from Audi, sadly - e.g. an "unused" set went on ebay last week for more than £90.

Any idea what they are new out of interest?

If my memory serves me well they were selling them in Newcastle Audi last time I was in for around the £25 mark. They had the type with the chrome finish outer and the brushed aluminium finish both on display. I know it caught my eye because I paid £70 for a set of copies on eBay and I thought I'd get myself a genuine set for just over £100 for when I put my 20's back on.

You'll need a colour code as well as that number, it should be stamped near that number, three digits or letters? I can't get a price beacuse I don't have enough info with me but if you know a car with exactly the ones that you want give them that registration or chassis number and they'll identify them for you.

How many of us needs these to replace one that has fallen off?

Yeah, far too much, I lost interest when they went over £90. I think I normally pay about £25 a pop (with 20% discount) from Smith Knight Fay Audi in Stockport.

FWIW mine are different part number, but I've ordered a set of 4 directly from Aliexpress / China for just under £40. Audi wanted £35 each. They haven't arrived yet though so I don't know what the quality will be like.

Can anyone actually confirm what their part number is and what wheels they have?

Not the first time I have been accused of spending too much on the S8! They are still in the packaging and looked OK to me! Dealer was asking more than this and couldn't guarantee supply of them in time for the car to go through to be detailed so I am happy enough.

I am keeping the aluminum finish around the edge and the logo but the centres are going to be painted to match the wheels.

8D... part number is for Audi A4 or S4. A8 part numbers start with 4E... they are probably exactly the same part, but I believe there is a different part number for A8 caps.

I'm pretty sure the 20" version use the same caps, but would like confirmation before purchasing!

The part no (which I'm reading from the VAG packet that my last cap came in) is 8D0 601 165 K 7ZJ.

I have 20" FE summer wheels, and 18" 9 spoke winters (which look very like yours), and the single set of caps fit both, I just swap them over when the wheels are changed. So they should fit both.

I have one of these centre caps with some corrosion on the outer lip.
