easy entry & exit system coding

Hi all
Just to check as not had any luck getting the easy entry & exit system to work have done the set up with the seats but the steering wheel done not retracked in or out on entry or exit. Works fine from controls on the side of the wheel. Is there a way that the system could have been coding out using the Vag com system. I have only had the car a month not a big problem but would be nice to have it working.

If it can be checked with teh Vag com may get it checked and see if it is coded out. I can not see anything on the MMI system to set it.

Thanks for the help all

Do you have the little button on the steering wheel pressed in? Next to the adjust controls.

Gotta love this forum. Can't believe that after 10 months of ownership I still keep discovering new things in my car. I had no idea this feature existed :D Although my steering wheel is so high up it does not move much even with the system activated.

Another thing I recently discovered was the kick-down switch behind the throttle...

What's next??

Unless there's an MMI option or VCDS coding option, then I'm stumped :)

Might kind of obvious but if the steering wheel and seat is all the way back it wont move.

At least mine don't.

Very good point. Mine is up as hight as it would go but all the way out forward
so would think that it would go all the way in on exit when
Leaving

I believe it only lifts it up.

I too have it all the way up and it doesn't move on shutdown for me either, but it does for the wife's settings

Yup.. it only lifts up on mine, that maybe explains why it's not working.

I have my steering wheel quite low and can confirm that it works only on the up and down axis (moves UP out of the way) and NOT on the telescoping axis (does NOT move in or out). Activated by button on side by adjustment joystick. I have turned mine off though as a) it could possibly wear out more quickly and b) it sometimes throws a wobbly and doesn't move back when ignition goes on.

Mine goes up only as well and seat moves back +++

Oh well that's another thing they must have changed from D2 to D3 :(

My seat doesn't move... How do you get that to work?

Lee, I've got no idea, but is your memory seat button the door card on or off??
I think it's the time to refer to user's manual

On the D2, and I assume the D3 is very similar, you do have to program the key to a seat memory number first (or is it vice-versa?). Simple to do.

When I picked up my current S8, despite its age, that had never been done. I guess it only ever had one regular driver so they had never done it. RTFM as noted above.
