Any D2 S8s about? :P

Or high spec D2 A8s? PF preferably. 2001/2002 model?

Also looking at C5 S6s.

Should never have sold my D3! Definitely feel the need to be back in an '8 now and want to change in the next month or so.

Nice looking S6: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-AUDI-...item3cddffbba9

This one?

M-A8 10th November 2014 12:03 PM

Well, how long since you sold the 8, 3-4months
I was expecting this sort of thread within a month or two max :D

I dont blame you Ollie and I would go for S8/A8 not S6 otherwise you will be posting again in few months asking for decent A8s or S8s for sale

That one for the link looks very good, just not sure about the blue door cards, they look a bit outdated where black or grey always looks on time.

Are you trying to stay away from D3s ???

M-A8 10th November 2014 12:04 PM

Oh yeah, that one from Jim's link looks better I think overall +++

Yeah I remember Harry's (I think was his name? :o ) from Wales last year and thought it was a nice example!

His name's David (can't remember why he used 'harrybosche')

That is a great looking car that hides its age and mileage very well, I'm tempted to buy it myself

If I was in the market for a D2, I'd be straight up there

tintin 10th November 2014 05:03 PM

Completely agree Sarg, when this ad was posted I toyed with the idea (for a moment or two...) of running this alongside my S8, as the "economical one"..

notorious 10th November 2014 10:01 PM

Yep, late 2002 FL +++
I like your thinking.
Just wait for a good example to emerge.

Professor Peach 11th November 2014 12:13 PM

You can buy mine if you'd like to offer vastly in excess of what it's actually worth! +++

Always happy to help.

Goran 11th November 2014 07:41 PM

There are so few D2 S8 for sale, how about the low mileage on AT?
Not my favourite interior, but mileage is low.

Yeah, that's a nice one. I don't mind that grey/clay coloured leather...

Ricky22buk 12th November 2014 08:21 AM

And what figure would you put on that Professor Peach ?????? Incase anyone else is interested !!!!!!

Wouldn't be for me.

It's not a Final Edition and I don't like Alcantara.

But it's funny how divided we are on interior trim and colour preferences. I really like the lighter colour interiors and like the colour combo of the car that Goran posted above. But I know that quite a few of you think that the leather really should be black.

I also had a Crystal Blue A8 (see 'avatar' photo) that had dark blue leather - liked that a lot too.

But it's a good job that we do differ - otherwise we'd all be chasing a fraction of the cars available whilst the others were left unsold and unloved! :)

A good question Ricky as I really have no intention of selling right now, but if someone was to offer £10K I would be foolish not to.

I did pay 'strong' money for it earlier this year, but I'm still very happy with my purchase.

1.. Buy another D3 ?
2.. I know where there is a low milage mint D2 S8 FL
3.. Dont buy a 6

Conquistador 13th November 2014 10:26 AM

Around £4,000 I guess. Looks like you can get a nice clean car for that price...

Jersey car looks nice, but don't know if I could be arsed sodding around with the importing etc.

Fair enough
If you do have an interest let me know
(its being serviced this coming Monday - including air-con service, transmission fluid change and brake fluid change)

Conquistador 30th December 2014 06:05 PM

Bump ;)

Still looking. Doesn't appear to be that many online at the moment. :( but if anybody comes across a nice clean example then please let me know

andycaca 30th December 2014 06:25 PM

mine is about, but definitely not for sale :)

just needs a new cambelt & water pump, rear gearbox seal and exhaust clamps to make good.

awesome car, even better with current fuel prices. i definitely bought at the right time. especially with work subsidising running costs :D

Conquistador 4th January 2015 05:30 PM

Decent D2 A8 has popped up in my town on eBay...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A8-Sp...torefresh=true

tintin 4th January 2015 08:16 PM

If you went for this one, you'd be the 10th owner…not something I'd do, personally, unless it was a truly exceptional example, which it's not. The wheels also don't do it for me, but that's a matter of personal taste...

Sir WIll 4th January 2015 08:29 PM

I must admit it would not be one I would touch.

Architex_mA8tey 4th January 2015 08:38 PM

It looks okay but I don't see any advantage in buying a PF car unless it has the 4 speed box and is pretty amazing condition wise. I ne'er stand the box has been refurbed at 60k miles but why did it go that soon? 5 speed boxes normally last until 100k plus

My 5-speed was refurbished at approx 75k miles, and failed again at 115k

Dave McB 7th January 2015 09:54 AM

If you're looking for decent car at a decent price, id probably sell you mine.

Few minor issues needing taken care of (ie the wheels need refurb'd)

Other than that its had all belts done, gearbox serviced not too long ago and most other major issues taken care of.

Damn thing never gets used - I also fancy an RS6 ...

What RS6 are you looking at as well?

Drop me a PM if you like.
