EPC Warning Light
 

Oh B£$ger, SWMBO has just phoned "The EPC light has come on". :(
The manual says EPC is for petrol cars.
Mine is a 2004 A8 D3 3.0 TDI and runs on dirty diesel. :Confused:
Anybody with an idea?

it will probably be ok later, mine has come on once in 18 months. no faults recorded and the car drove perfectly fine. After leaving the car for an hour or so the light was off, never to return.

I've had this on a D3 Ray and it was cured by a new brake switch for under the brake pedal which cost about £6 or 8
If you do a scan it should show up as intermittent +++

I managed to stop the bus for five minutes near the car. SWMBO had parked it alongside the daughters shop where she works.
Turned the car on and the EPC light went out, and then stayed out.
When she came home I plugged the laptop in and the only new thing that came up was "Glowplug 6 intermittent". I then cleared that fault and now await further surprises.
