radio code
Any idea how to get code for rnse as I have misplaced it I replaced battery and I can't find the code any ideas????

I seem to recall that you can call Audi and they'll give it to you if you have the right documentation

also people on ebay are selling it as a service. you provide them with the RNS-E serial number i believe.

don't know jim took unit out as I think it has code on back of unit. phoned a company on ebay they told me put unit back in there is a unit number that comes on the screen when start up .then phone them with the number and they will give you the code.but when I did put unit back in it started up without any request for code.so its all working now

My experience:
Lost my code for the Audi-fitted stereo in my last A8. Rang the local stealer and they wanted the old girl up on the ramps for 1/2 an hour - £80. Called Loch Lomond Audi (original supplying dealer, info gleaned from copious documentation supplied with the car) and they said that they always took the info out of the supplied manual and stuck the sticky label in the boot in the spare wheel well area. No charge. Suffice to say, I wrote a praiseworthy email to the manager commending them on their foresight. Not sure if this is standard behaviour though for all Audi places though. |
