Wanted: D3/D4/A7

Chaps, I will be putting the M3 up for sale within the next 2-3 weeks. When/if she sells, I'll be after a couple of cars, something for the weekend plus a daily driver.

For the daily, I'm looking for a D3, D4 or A7 quattro, no older than 2009, with 3G MMI. No standard SE seats, must have sport or comfort seats.

Mileage & colour less important than history and provenance.

Probably most likely looking at a D3 TDI as I don't really want to spend more than about £15k on the daily driver, less better.

If anyone is selling, or is thinking of selling, let me know the details please.

Some of you may recall last time I started looking at 5-8k E39 M5s and ended up with a 30k M3, so I reserve the right to change my mind

I must admit I miss my E39 M5, great car and always end up looking at them on the Internet.

Going up in value also.

Bump

M3 now sold and going tomorrow.

Budget is flexible, anything up to 30k odd, but the less the better for a daily driver

And before you say anything Neil, I cancelled the Volvo :tuttut:

If you look at A7's make sure you get one with a black headlining or every time you look in the rear view mirror you will see a "net curtain" effect from the light coloured parcel shelf reflecting against the rear window. Black headlining means the parcel shelf is also black and no problems +++

Based on that, and the fact you seem to be a fan already, might you consider a 61 plate BMW 730d with all the toys? I'll be putting it up on Autotrader when I get back from holiday and am going to put it up on this forum just on the off chance someone is looking for something different to an '8' but of equal size and quality . . . . Long shot but perhaps worth me taking the time to ask.

52,400 miles. Owned by first owner to c.8k miles, my dad to 35k miles and then me. Full BMW service history, will be serviced again at BMW just before sale, will have full year's MOT. 20" wheels just refurbed for selling, full bonnet recently professionally painted because of some stone chips annoying me. Whole car will be getting a full professional polish prior to sale too. All tyres nearly new with Goodyear Excellence up front and Eagle F1s on the back.

All the interior toys like HDD, premium sound system, internet including Google search and street view, bluetooth, voice activation, Sat Nav & keyless start, twin memory front seats with passenger assist

Extras of note are soft close doors, top-down reversing camera, peek-out-the-junction front camera view, rear privacy glass, 'M' multifunction steering wheel, extended leather pack, 'M' aerodynamic bodystyling, heated rear seats, auto-main-beam assist, power bootlid.

Suspension settings Comfort/Normal/Sport/Sport+ and Drivetrain settings for Normal/Sport

Lovely Deep Sea Blue not often seen on a 7 Series. Much better than the two-a-penny silvers and blacks out there.

No bother. Hope you find your perfect '8' soon enough. Will look forward to hearing all about it.

That's what the weekend driver is for, the daily driver has to get me to work in all weathers, as a contractor, if I ain't there, I don't get paid
