Seems to be a thing at the moment - car dealers having two storeys. I wonder if it's a design flaw, or if they've exceeded the design payload.

Nothing wrong with the design. They shouldn't have put that Volvo in there :tuttut:

Sounds like they were tight for space and had too many cars parked on a ramp between floors that was only designed for one to drive up at a time.

Exactly. Bet no one paid attention to the designed load withstand of the ramp.

Nail on the head. The ramp would have been engineered for a short term imposed live load, not extra dead load. Somebody is for the chop.
