Snap on instead of Snap off springs to mind. the abuse I used to give my Snap on breaker bars was ridiculous and they kept coming back for more.

Scaffolding pole was the normal way to get extra on it when needed.

A decent impact air wrench would have done the job in seconds

I had a really tight driveshaft bolt (or nut) once, 1/2" drive 1000mm long breaker bar did nothing, 1.5m long pipe over breaker bar with me jumping on it - still nothing, 2 people standing on it - nothing. At the end I rested pipe to the ground with wheels on the ground and socket (or it could have been Hex bit) going through the center hole of the wheel I used engine power to turn the driveshaft and move car a bit while nut (or bolt) was kept stationary, well it was moving horizontally but no rotation. It did lift car up quite a bit but finally the nut or bolt let go. The beaker bar was slightly bent but nowhere near as bad like in the link, I think it was Halfords Advanced breaker bar at the time.

Now thats more like it, a bit of thinking outside the box, and putting it into practise inside the box.
