Guess the Audi price...
Put my car in for one of Audi's general health check things. Got a mate who is a workshop tech in one of the Essex dealers so he was taking live pictures of anything unusual which was good while I was having a coffee
-Headlamp washer hose leaking (fair enough, I bodged it myself with hosepipe) -Left drive shaft worn -Right drive shaft worn -both sides suspension bushes/controls arms worn -both sides lower arm bushes worn -front suspension arms and bushes (wishbones), all 4 worn -rear axle bushes worn -n/s/r brake caliper slight leak -brake fluid change required -cambelt (done late last year but obviously not on their records, so this wouldn't be required) So... guess the price! ;) £__,_____ |
£3.5k
More
What?!? Another £1000 on top?
So the burning question is will you be getting the work done at Audi?
At almost 9 grand, would you?!
http://i61.tinypic.com/28am6ma.jpg A garage I use a lot will do all the arms and bushes for around £550 for a start. |
Holy ****, thats way more than i thought it would be.
:tuttut: |
Geez! I've just almost choked on my coffee and biscuits !!!
I was adding that up at an average of £1k per job - wouldn't have been surprised at £10k tbh
…which is why Audi need to price their products/services more "realistically" for older models. 9k for maintenance exceeds the value of nearly all of the cars on here.
