Are you sure you want Vista? There is no Vista Pro.

Editions are mainly Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate.
There's also an Enterprise Edition but I doubt you would want or could acquire that.

I've just scrapped a Vista install so could supply the installation disc and key to anyone building this for you if that's of interest. It's either Business or Ultimate, honestly can't be 100% sure which until I dig out the media, though IIRC it's Ultimate.

HP's question is a good one, you need to have a really good reason to put the worst version of windows ever made on a machine. you need XP as a minimum, but i would reccomend windows 7 as the most stable until 10 has proven itself, and you need the 64bit version if you want to see more than 4 gb ram

Assuming this PC will have a SSD in it, you really should use W7 or above which'll support TRIM. Vista has no TRIM so is more reliant on the drive's ability to TRIM itself. Without TRIM, performance could degrade dramatically over time as the drive uses more and more sectors which aren't TRIMmed (or wiped ready for new data).
