Lowering Link Instuctions
Hi all,
Firstly I would like to say hello as I have recently purchased an 05 4.2TDi SWB. I have been browsing and have found the solution to most of the niggling issues that I have come across in the first month of ownership. Whilst replacing the air compressor piston ring I noticed that in its past someone has fitted aftermarket lowering links but instructions or paperwork of this purchase has long gone. I have emailed ebay sellers and a well known lowering link company for a set of insructions but without response. Does anybody on here happen to have a PDF of the instructions that they would be willing to email over to me? I would just like to know which links to shorten/lengthen to have the desired outcome. Many Thanks, Scott |

Thanks mA8tey but I was looking for a more detailed user guide on which ones to make longer and which shorter
|
I personally would not use links .. I'd lower the safe option with vcds +++
|
It's a strange setup as it definitely has lowering links installed, but I can only guess that they are set to original length. I have come to this conclusion as I looked into the suspension through VCDS and when running the output test it showed a figure of -20mm on the front. The car is not too low at all.
It is clear that a previous owner has been playing with it as all of the vcds tweaks are already enabled. Does anybody have the original length link measurements to hand so that I can check? |

Can't you just adjust them to your desired length? And leave them fitted. They're very easy to pull off and set the height. |
