so what's the difference ?
 

I have an A8 D2 2000 3.7 sport quattro ; been in the family 10 years , maintained by an audi independant , replacement transmission about 20k ago [ ex audi ] , all in all a nice car ,just needs a bit of bumper paint

just happened to see a what car review about buying a used D2 which says the standard model is nice but stretch to the sport model if you can

so what's the difference ? never having been in a standard car I didn't know the sport had something extra ....what is it ????

Sports suspension which is 20mm lowered and same as S8
Quattro sport wheels
Sports steering wheel
Recaro seats

Anyone add anything else?

didn't realise they were recaro seats , but found they really are
wouldn't have noticed the 20mm lowering
steering wheel just has 2 buttons ...other wheels have multifunction , does that mean less is more ?
wheels look pretty standard to be , but what would I know ?

The suspension is the same ride height as the s8, but s8 is a different (firmer) ride iirc

Sport model also has memory drivers seat / mirrors / steering column as standard as well as heated seats (front), electric steering column +++

so an extra thousand when new ?

adjustable thigh support on seats

And the most comfortable car seats I've ever been in bar none.
