Glow plug light flashing 3.0tdi 05-06

Just has this light on arm, feels like it's in limp mode aswell.

No other lights on the dash and drives fine bar the limp mode. Changes gear fine no smoke and that.

Any thoughts?

Did it come on from start or while driving?

Should plug the car in and get it scanned ideally, could be as straight forward as needing new glow plugs but that doesn't explain why it's also in limp mode. Dirty or blocked fuel filter maybe?

Hasn't been change I don't think so possibly I don't know mate.

Happened after I put in S mode and overtook a Lordy, then put it in normal mode then it started flashing yellow.

So maybe dpf? Turbo actuator?

Might need to pop over and get it scanned mate.

It'd need a scan.. Could be anything almost.. I was getting that light and no power when the DPF went on my D3, but it's a multiprupose error light. Hopefully something cheap :)

Yeah it's gone now, started up fine and runs ok now. Weird.

Must of been the Sport mode change over being to quick.

Bloody cars.

Try givving it some welly see if it comes on again , may still be worth a scan ...... bet its something to do with boost pressure /turbo positioning

It comes on when I boot it, or to overtake. I use only decent ultimate diesel bp/esso so it's not fuel. Needs a scan me thinks.

Yes , get it scanned , post up fault codes and discriptions if you could

Conquistador 6th December 2015 07:39 PM

Craig, just drop me a message if you need to come by again to have it scanned some time. Failing that, I'm in Maldon most days for work if that's local to you.

hi,

I was wondering did you get to the bottom of it?

I had similar occurrence the other day but haven't had chance to look at it just yet [weekend job unless wifey decides we ought to do something more important ;)].
