D2 headlight fault warning light
 

I've not had this before, but my S8 was showing an orange headlight warning today - "dynamic headlight range control faulty". Any one on here know how to fix this?

Probably a broken arm on the sensor (or he sensor has failed electrically) located between the frame and the suspension. Try VCDS to establish which of the 2 sensors (front/back) is faulty.

If the arm is broken its pretty obvious - just stick yer heed underneath and look for a small black box with an arm on the subframe connected to a link mechanism on the suspension arms. +++

if its not physically broken the innards might be goosed, one of these is what you need, much cheaper than Audi if you don't mind non genuine parts, have one of these on mine and its been fine for a couple of years now+++
