Are there any steel wheels for the D3?

Evening all, Merry Christmas and almost Happy New Year etc...

As title really. We had a few days in Berlin Christmas week, and saw lots and lots of cars running steelies, with winter tyres. Got me thinking. Would there be any steel wheels, say 17s that clear the discs and calipers suitable for some winters?

I'm intending to buy some nice 19 or 20s for summer use (when the tyres on my 17s need replacing) and using my 17s as winters.

Cheers. John.

There are no OEM steel rims. These should fit with a centre bore adapter +++

What have you in mind for your summer rims?

Cheers Matt. I've been hunting around on eBay and found similar things...

I'd like something OEM. Ideally from the D4. I remember a member a while ago fitted some D4 alloys to his 3 and it really suited the car. My 17s just don't suit the car one bit. IMHO.

Not sure if it was mine but I fitted some 19" D4 alloys that I bought from another member to my D3 Daily, pic attached if it helps. They needed some spigot ring adapters as the centre bore is bigger on a D4 than standard D3 wheels the ET was also pretty favourable to help get them almost level with the arches +++

They look like standard D3 19" Sport FL wheels to me.

Well you'd better take that up with Duffy then as they came off his D4 - here's the original thread lol -

Well they must be D4 if they need spigot rings for a D2/3. Audi must have carried that model wheel over from D3 to D4 maybe? I do like that style. Simple, stylish and most importantly... easy to keep clean. +++;)

They did, and they are +++ Use them as my winter wheels at the moment.
