Defective Tail Lamp
 

I have noticed something interesting.

I have one of the rear lamps on my bootlid which is heavily sun damaged. It has cracked and sometimes gets water condensation in it.

I have been on the lookout for a replacement pair ( the outer two have been changed).

Today, I noticed the drivers side (the cracked side) parking lamp LEDs to be really bright. I tested this and discovered that the brake light has become the park light because the inner rear park lamp circuit has failed.

I unplugged the broken lamp and the outer parklight brightness returned to normal. Unfortunately this provides for many errors.

So I shall have to change them. But I am impressed with the cars ability to cope.

Does anyone know if the bootlid lamps are the same for USA or are they different like the outer tail lamps?
