Link throws an error for me, but think it's this one you were linking to?

It's been for sale for AGES and even with the low miles looks V expensive to me.

IT's view is that the Plus's aren't really all that desirable as many were poor spec and wierd colour combos. This one looks good on both counts, but the lack of ACC would rule it out for me personally (and a £30k deficit in budget!)

It's not very far from me....

Yes indeed it is

Its been for sale over a year, but the price has dropped 5K and mileage gone up by 1K.

Its a plus, with TV, sunroof, advance key, homelink and high beam assist.

No ACC.

No Audi Warranty.

Top speed is 174 MPH with the carbon pack, which is standard on the plus, not 188.

0-60 is 4.6 for the avant, not 4.5, which is the saloon.

The plus has no more power than the non-plus. Just extended leather, and exclusive paint/leather combo + carbon engine pack that includes 174mph limiter.

Its a shame, they could have given it more power so easily and made it really worthwhile, but the plus is basically a cosmetic thing, but most are in awful, or worse still, standard, colour combos as it seems many RS6 plus purchasers didn't get the concept of personalisation at all....

This one I concede, is a pretty decent colour combo though....

I'm also a bit put off by 2009+ avants in general. Someone bought an estate because they 'needed' it, so its been a load lugger potentially - Pre 2009 there was only avants available, so at least there's a chance you're buying one that was used by the suit guy with only a briefcase.... +++

I think mine does represent better value than this, but not if you want the estate..... and I'll stand the accusation that I might have a bias... ;)

Nice.

For me a 'proper' old school RS should be an Avant, but that's because I remember the RS2 and it had massive appeal when new. I imagine I'm not alone, but can't disagree with IT that most Avants are likely to have done some tip runs! But frankly I'll be loading one up with racing gear and holiday stuff, but I'm very particular about HOW it gets loaded so nothing gets marked. At the moment my S8 gets used, but you'll not see any marks on the back seat, doors or boot as a result :)

I test drove a W8 estate years ago - was the dog and tip run wagon for a bloke who had a multiple car garage, so he treated it as you'd expect. Lots of paint damage on the rear bumper, scuffed wheels, cheap tyres, but it got serviced regularly. I wouldn't buy it (largely because it wasn't fast enough to justify the fuel and maintenance bills!) and I'd ignore an abused RS6 too.

Only way to know is to have a look and if there's no evidence of abuse then all good.

Ian's is defo better vfm if a saloon is viable
