PDC module upgrade - MMI display
 

Currently my 2004 has the PDC which just beeps with no graphics on the MMI.

Looking round, it looks like to get the graphics I just need to upgrade the MMI software (already done) and replace the PDC module with a Rev.C or later version.

Does that sound about right, simply swap out the PDC with a newer revision?

Yup.... then the option should appear in the MMI setting.. dont think there is any coding to do.

Someone else got to the controller before me, found a bargain rev.c controller on ebay for a £9.99 buy it now. Should of got it then, but never mind.

Wow. That would be a good price!!! I've been looking at this for a little while and it looks like a simple upgrade, however the controllers seem oddly rare! There's a couple round the £70 mark from europe!

Located in the boot, near the CD player on the the back wall. Easily accessable and a 10minute job to fit.

You need the green mmi hidden menu or VCDS to enable the menu option I think, but that's about it, I think!

I bought mine off allegro.pl for a good price, not £9.99 though. Not all sellers on Allegro will do international delivery, but still worth emailing them and asking.
