My Audi A8 3.0tdi SE. 80,000 miles. Bentley 20" wheels £9250
Thinking of selling the Audi again, I purchased this as I was just about to move house and needed a big diesel to get me around. But now I haven't moved I need a hot hatch again I think.
Standard in every way apart from lowering links, K&N updated filter and the perfect 20" Bentley wheels. These make the car and will be going with her unless some one wants them then they are available, message me if so. It's an SE and has the usual spec an SE has, this isn't a fully loaded model but still has all the usual refinements. I got the a8 as it had crazy low miles for its age, 55-06. It's on 80,000 and has had the dreaded intake manifold all fixed and cleaned, new throttle body and full egr system cleaned. I'd like £9250 with the wheels. The wheels alone are worth £1500+ Full Bridgestone potenzas all new still. Recently had all new chrome fitted on the drivers side. Paintwork is spotless, no dents at all. Has stonechips on the front but as to be expected. Updated every bulb up front. Gloss black front grills. Message me for any further details. Will now take £8700
Two new potenzas on the front New rear bumper painted and fitted New rear light tints Ride height and tracking sorted HR black edition spacers fitted 20mm front 25mm rear. Fully mopped and detailed. House sale forces me to get rid. |
This is a personal view, and others may think differently, but I wonder if you might find it gets quicker/better interest if you sold the Bentley wheels separately?

On another note, most folks on here will likely already have an 8, so maybe that's worth considering. GLWTS. |
lovely looking car! don't want to hijack, but how did you do the rear light red tints?

I really think the car is better for looking like this, it's only got wheels on and a few tweaks. None you'd know about unless I pointed them out but they make the car what it is. No1 looks at a standard A8 but mine draws more attention than most cars on the road, it will sell as it is as I don't want to buy new wheels ideally.
Unless someone has very nice standard wheels then cash my way. But she stays as she is, it's not overly modified. Just lowered on wheels, as are most in here, just mine are bigger and lower and more expensive.... It's a bargain for the mileage and wheels alone. |
I agree that this car looks fantastic, however having the car non standard is limiting even further the already small market for this type of car.
If I were looking then I'd want a car as standard as possible, those wheels would not last on my farm track driveway and neither would the lowering. Even on standard ride height in summer its a struggle on the track. You may get a bite, if you catch it at the right time but my gut feeling is it will sell faster with standard wheels and for more or less the same money. Then you'll be able to get more by selling the wheels separately. |
I have to agree, they are lovely looking wheels, but on the wrong engine....
Most folk buying the 3.0 Tdi are the more sensible motorway cruising folk who really just want plain simple wheels to soak up the motorway, along with the full suspension travel. They're also looking for a bucket load of factory options preferably. Much as i absolutely see your point of view that the car *looks* nicer as it is, its appealing to a very niche market, and as time goes by its value is dropping. Opening up the wheels to a P/x will likely yield some interest, and once dressed normally it will make the car far more sellable in my opinion. |
FWIW I really like the wheels, they certainly suit the car. I can see peoples point though, typical 8 buyers could well be put off by such modifications.
