VCDS Level Contol - yellow suspension light stays on
Hello Folks,
I am after some advice from the experts on here please. My D3 S8 has standard suspension, has 160,000 miles and had a new compressor/relay about 60,000 miles ago. I cannot hear any funny noises and had no warning lights when I started. I wanted to rese my suspension level, since it has been grounding a bit recently and I have just put my summer wheels (20") back on. I had no warning lights on. I went into VCDS level control module, typed in security code, then worked through channel 1, 2 3, and 4. Channel 4 gave invalid value and I was nor able to set channel 5 to 1 as required. Problem is yellow suspension light came on! Have gone through the whole calibration procedure about 20 times with no joy. In the last 3 or 4 attempts, the initiation (suspension to low, suspension to normal, then enter values for channel 1 got stuck at suspension on low, but dash display showed suspension down (white down arrow) and the suspension up (white up arrow) then static (both arrows black). I also removed the DTC to no avail several times. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong or what might have happened. Thanks Richardracer |
Hi Richard.
I have calibrated mine maybe 3 times, the last time was a complete nightmare. I couldn't work out why I was having similar errors to you. Very frustrating. I took a breather. It was a hot day. And tried again, following the instructions I probably got form here, Rosstech TO THE LETTER, and all was well. I think the driver's door has to be closed,.. You can't be in the car etc etc. First few times I'd had no problems, other that it seemingly taking forever, so I was quite perplexed. Don't worry too much about the error. Have a read maybe and try again exactly per the instructions. In future I will do it in a multistory or something, where it's very flat and the weather won't complicate things. |
