My only concern would be the stress on the bodywork from the heavy filler/pipe.

On my Saab and Volvos which I had the conversion done I had the filler fitted to a bracket welded to the tow bar. that way you don't need to cut/drill the bodywork, its central to the car so you don't need to care which side of the pump you pull up and its 'out of sight' unless you really look for it.

I saw this car and discussed the filler with the owner. It works because he fits the appropriate converter for the country he is in. He hasn't been to the UK yet and we have the biggest connector with our bayonet fitment. :)

We do.

The best option was my A8 fitting under a small black square plastic flap in the centre of the lower part of the rear valance. I screwed an adaptor in and just changed that when I went abroad. Kept the smooth lines of the A8.

My new 745i which is gassed has a stealth install too. It's much cleaner :)

Can anyone recommend any fitters and labour costs? I have the parts for a Prins system available and think it could well be my next mod?

Prins is regarded as the best system to have fitted, but its the worst to try and do DIY as the prins guys are very reluctant to let any non-prins installers get access to the software, without which you cant get it working properly after install....

I dont know what prins installers views would be on installing a second hand system....

i do...

basically the loom that comes is often customisied to fit a particular car so you neec a new one of them to start with. then they don't like second hand tanks as you aren't sure of any potential damage, then all the pipe work must be new so in reality the only bits you can re-use are injectors and the brain and even then injectors with 100K miles on them would be over half worn and thus harder to tune up so the brain is all thats left, in which case for a couple of hundred quid they don't see the point.

most of the cost is the actual fitting in hours and days, if you are fuly competant then you may be able to negiotiate a discount if you fit all the tank/pipework to their standard, fit and locate the vapourisor, electronics etc so all they have to o is wire it all up and test it.
