For sale: 2001 Audi S8

Gents

I'm moving back to more classic motoring so my S8 is offered for sale at £5250

2001 Audi S8
5 owners (I'm the fifth)
105k miles
12m MOT
Aqua Blue
Platinum (I think?) interior
All original hand and service books

Fully documented service history with invoices back to 2004.

Spec list here : http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...4&d=1426234458

Over 8k spent on maintenance in my 15m tenure, always using genuine or OEM parts - no expense spared (always run on v-power)

Gearbox rebuild at 80k at a cost of £2.5k

Recent Goodyears (5k miles) all round on refurbed 18" Avus

Just had MOT refreshed, no advisories, brake fluid being changed and air con re-gassed.

The CEL light has recently illuminated pointing to the SAI circuit - I'll get this checked out prior to sale.

I'd describe the car as being in very good to excellent condition. There are some scratches and a couple of dings commensurate with age however as seen below presents really well.

A really solid, effortless drive which has proved superbly practical with the demands of a now 2yr old and associated gubbins easily accommodated.

Car is located in East Finchley, north London.

To test drive, please bring your proof of insurance cover and both parts of your driving license.

And sorry to be a pain however I'll only accept calls from traceable land lines (no mobiles, no blocked numbers) - not planning on getting stung again!

Shouldn't be an issue, you haven't listed your phone number ;)

There is only 1 part of driving licence - the card, paper counterpart was abolished June last year.

I can understand withheld numbers but why discrimination against mobile? I don't even have regular phone, I do have active line but it is used only for broadband with no phone connected so I would need to get a phone or call from work or somebodies else landline or payphone. If I was interested in car and if somebody was out to scam you they could call from somebodies else landline as well or even a payphone as many of third party owned have regular regional numbers.

A small oversight :)

Any interested parties pls PM me for phone details.

Cheers

Fair comment - I can only go by my experience when selling my RS2 10yrs ago - gave my address details out to the only person who called, car was stolen the following evening.

Times/technology have changed, granted - just doing what I can to minimise the risk.

Ouch..........I understand your cautious approach then, good luck with the sale +++

The guy we bought our TT from was similarly cautious - he gave us a postcode about 2 miles from his house and met us with the car. Only when we came back with cash to pick it up did he give us his actual address.

Btw I have removed all the SAI stuff from mine so have most of the parts spare apart from the pump if you need anything :)

Thanks both

The SAI code hasn't appeared for several months, after I changed the vacuum pipes and MAF (Bosch). Will investigate further, shouldn't need anything new, but thanks for the offer +++
