Cloudy auto dimming wing mirror glass - 2002 S8
 

My drivers side auto dimming wing mirror glass is no longer working and has gone a cloudy brown colour.

When I phoned Audi they wanted £290 for a replacement 😬

I want to replace both sides with standard glass but the Audi parts man left me more confused when I spoke with them.

Does any one know how many types of glass there are and what's the best replacement in your opinion?

Part numbers will be most beneficial as that was the only language the parts guy seemed to understand 😄.

My dimming mirrors are now just standard ones which are slightly tinted and I actually prefer that.

There are various types, different tints and some with curved outer sections (wide-angle?).

Some look clear and some look blue-ish as well?
