Different Indicator Stalk?
So, having had my new A8 less than a week - by far, the most disappointing / irritating thing is the horrible, cheap and nasty feeling to the movement of the indicator stalk. It's just so clicky/clunky - not at all befitting the rest of the car.
I'm sure my 2007 A6 wasn't like this. My 2010 Skoda is definitely much nicer - a more soft, and progressive feel, and not nearly so loud when you engage the switch. To some, this may sound like madness - which it may well be. However, i'm hoping it may be quicker, easier and cheaper to replace the indicator stalk rather than cure any mental deficiencies I may possess. So - does anyone know of anything which can be done? Were the F/L stalks different? |
Maybe it was replaced by aftermarket part at some point? Have you tried other 8's to see if it the same? I replaced it on A6 with aftermarket unit and it does feel cheap compared to OEM part but then again it was cheap to buy as well.

I'll probably get used to it. |
More than welcome to sample my stalk.
