Coilovers on an A8/S8?

Hey guys,

I'm really tempted to pick up some KW coilovers.

Have any of you had experience of running coilovers or been in a car running them on a D2? How are they; firm but ok or just too much to live with daily?

I had them on a mk3 golf years ago and they seemed OK, but nostalgia paints things as a pretty picture in my mind:D now I'm not in my early 20's I'm worried I'd get ****ed off after a few days.

Any feedback welcome.

Cheers
Rich

When I first went to see my D2 before I bought it, it had coilovers on. I had the option of having the car returned to standard suspension - which I took. IMHO, the ride was far too firm for daily use and, in fact, it was really only used as a show car by the previous owner.

Mine is on coilovers but its not the main car I use every day, that said I have been to both Scotland and Germany meets with the car and its hard but not unbearable. The D2 Sport Recaros make a huge difference :D

Hmmm, maybe give them a miss then. I don't mind a slightly firmer ride but they sound a little jarring for daily use.

Maybe air suspension then.......gets you lower and more comfortable :D

Mine are H&R Coilovers
I believe that the dreaded EuroCarParts are now the sole UK distributor of them as I had to buy some new parts a couple of years ago and that was the only place to get them and they ordered them in from Germany
