£332 westfalia is original factory fit same as mine
Buy it...

The 13 pin dedicated electrics kit also works the same as factory, i.e. interfaces into ABS/Parking sensors/ride height etc..... would personally recommend +++

If you're willing to put the effort and £££ into it, the Westfalia and dedicated electric kit is the way forward.

I just wanted a towbar for occasional use, so I sourced the Westfalia OEM towbar second hand (thanks eBay and Paulrstaylor+++) and used a generic electric kit from PF Jones. It's not as slick as the dedicated kit. But I've yet to tow anything further than the tip down the road.

I managed to keep the full cost to just north of £200. I had a little wiring issue and a guy from PF Jones in Mancs troubleshot it over the phone in minutes. Really good company, I'd recommend them.

Thanks guys for your help.

Have just gone and bought a caravan so need to get it sorted.
Rang about a caravan whilst in services on A50/A38 then trip over to Boston and back to home near Stamford none of this in the Audi, wife wasn't impressed at going in her 1 Litre car.

Do you know if the electrics have to be coded, can I manage until I have more time to take to Audi if this is what's needed.

Going onto PF Jones website now to order one.

Thanks

Update
now ordered and wife not happy with expense.

Dedicated electrics will need coding, easy with VCDS or any independent/dealer will be able to do it in 30 mins labour I'd of thought +++
