When does it become an addiction!
 

I think it is a sacred duty to save an iconic car. Now our 8s are iconic but most 8s do end up with our sponsors or a competitor, which is good for our 8s. But some of our 8s are iconic icons and today I took ownership of one...

Now the addiction question is because I now have had 4 D2s and still have three of the! +++

Should I get help?

For those that are wondering which iconic icon I have laid my hands on it's a PF A8 4.2 QS, Ming Blue (same as my first S8) and was owned by that special person, formally, and still, know as Dezzy!!!!

Yes, I have the that 8. 225k on the clock, needs a bit of polishing here and there and a couple (of dozen) bits and bobs. But it's Dezzy's bus, saved for the nation.

I often get very tempted to buy another one. What is it about these 8's just cant get enough of them.

I'm now down to 3 cars from 5, and I can't deny that I've been tempted. If only one of the remaining three hadn't semi-permanently emptied my bank account...:-(

Whilst attending the docs (for a minor, non-car related ailment!) I saw a poster aimed at people with OCD which gave a detailed description of the symptoms. My first thought was, well, whats wrong with that? It seemed totally normal behaviour to me and was a fair description of most people on this forum :p

I think it's absolutely normal for car enthusiasts to behave this way as long we don't buy them to keep and let them rot on the driveways beyond any possible restoration.....and that's why today at 5 degrees temperature I'm washing, claying, polishing and waxing my beloved A8 in preparation for re-homing her along with full interior clean, diagnostics and sorting any issues I come across.
After two months of not driving it it was cruel to watch a well spoiled and pampered car feeling lonely and "abandoned".

Just been cleaning and waxing my winter wheels. Hands are now frozen!

Mike you are doing a sterling job in your almost single handed efforts to save '8s +++
