Aux Heater (Webasto) not recogniced i VCDS
Hey.
Have an 1997 D2 4.2 Quattro fitted with the vinter package, and the Webasto heater. The Controlls in the door rest seams to work, but nothing is happening to the Webasto heater itself. Connected the VCDS, and it says that no Controll for Aux heater can be found. Where to start looking for fault? Regards Kay |
Hi Moekay and welcome,
I think you are the only person on the forum that has the webasto heater :) I think if anyone might know it will be Ian but not sure if it's all that well documented anywhere. Good luck mate and feel free to share where you're from and a few pictues of your A8. -Oli |

Still, some photos would be very interested, especially of the heater itself... +++ |

the webasto heater is the same as fitted to some trucks and motor homes,i have one in my camper van,you should be able to pick up an install manual from ebay to track the wiring, there are several relays involved its all fairly simple once you start digging

AUX Heater (WEBASTO)
It seems correct that its not integrated into the VAG-TOOL.
When i press the start button on the Webasto control panel in the drivers-door. The Ventilationlights and fan start up for about 30 seconds and then dies. The Clock setting in the Webasto panel in the door also is loosing its clock setting randomly. Maybe a bad wire somewhere? Regards Kay |
