D2 PF front mats
3 Attachment(s)
See attached photos.
I bought these some time ago as the PF mats are better quality, but they're not quite the right colour for my car. They're a very pale grey/beige colour. They're in very good condition with no visible wear and only a couple of tiny marks. If you're going to be at the annual meet, I'll bring them up with me and they'll cost you a pint! If not, you can have them for postage costs. |
Jim, I'll have those please! Do you know what trim colour they are, is there a label on them?
|
I didn't expect to get a pint of malt whisky without haggling! ;)
I'll put them in the boot and bring them up - don't let me forget and bring them back again! |
I'll have a look for a label tomorrow
|
No label or part numbers on the mats at all, I'm afraid. The rubber backing is identical to that on my FL mats and I bought them from our sponsors, so I'm pretty sure that they're genuine.

Thanks Jim, I was asking because the labels (when present) have a colour code on.
I have a (black) "winter set" of mats and a newish beige summer/standard set but ideally want to have a set for "best". Whichever of yours or mine are the better colour match will become my "show" mats and the others the everyday ones. Hopefully yours if they are the better PF quality. Strangely when I bought the car it had no drivers mat at all and a rather stained passenger side one (spilled drinks possibly) so I bought a set of FL front mats. The build sticker specifies "VA6 Two cushions/pillows" but they have long gone! |
Jim, just to say (in public) thanks for the mats, finally fitted them today.
They are much thicker than the normal mats, feel really plush, but don't connect to the fixings quite right which is odd. I suspect that might actually be aftermarket (but top quality material) and the fixings (on both) are misaligned due to a bad template. If you try to connect the fixings they both end up about 10-15mm towards the rear of the car, otherwise they are the correct shape. I've had the fixings off on other mats to repair/replace them so I might try to elongate the holes and move these slightly. As the mats need to move forwards that should still give a good grip. Colour match isn't perfect, as I knew it wouldn't be, but they're great for everyday use. :D |
