I thought the non-quattros all have the CVT gearbox??

EDIT: they are, Multitronic is CVT, not the tiptronic torque converter box.

Also, and sorry to be a pedant, it can be an S Line or a Le Mans, but not both, they are distinct trim levels. (This one is a Le Mans)

Lastly, the road tax is no longer transferable, new owner has to tax it from purchase date.

Wrong ..
These cars are S-Line but they did a Le-Mans version
Same car with 10mm or so lower suspension and small badges saying Le-Mans on the front wings

I had a brand new one in 2007 it says S-Line everywhere
And as far as im aware Multitronic is not CVT (but im going to check that)

I believe the Multitronic is a CVT. The Quattros of that era had a 6-speed ZF tiptronic.

The later shape 2WD A6s (late 2011 onwards) also have Multitronic CVT boses, the Quattros have DSG boxes, apart from the BiTDI which has an 8-speed ZF tiptronic.

Not wrong, there was an S Line and a Le Mans, the latter based on the former, but not denoted as such. Whack the reg number in to any website you want, it won't say S Line Le Mans. Next you'll be telling me about S Line Final Editions.... :ROFL:

To the OP, sorry for disrupting your sale thread, just don't want to see others thinking they are buying a car with a vastly superior tiptronic gearbox, you know how we all feel about incorrectly described cars for sale, like the classic 'fully loaded' adverts.

It does look good and well cared for, pricing seems about right, maybe £300-500 over but not stupidly optimistic like some, so good luck with the sale.

Just to clarify, this isn't my car and I am only posting as its a good car and a forum member might be interested as its not on the major sites at the moment.

He wrote the advert and I will get him to clarify the points based on what he knows from his purchase from Audi and collate and amend the advert.

yes i did but mine was a 3.0 tdi quattro S-line special edition Le-mans version

they are all s-line even this car for sale says s-line all over it but its a genuine Le-Mans
audi did a le-mans special edition based on the s-line
s-line badges on steering wheel , seats , sills
and all the le-mans had was badges and lowered suspension
my le-mans badges were in a packet in the glove box
