One for the Sticky?
Spotted this on TSN.
http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/audi-...ng-solved.html May be worth putting in the Sticky with a credit to Glynn. |
I want to order some new sidelight bulbs, LED ones from eBay. I'm tired of the yellow sidelight bulbs compared to my factory Xenons. I have factory Xenons but not the Bi Xenons, does anyone know which ones I need to order. I'm thinking W5W but not 100% sure.
Heres what I am thinking of ordering if anyones interested. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LED-Sidelight-...item5ad361c0ce |

Thanks Mike, but my bulbs look like this.. Doesn't say what type they are though on the bulb. W5W looks more like the type. What do you reckon?

Hi Amar,
I have the standard LED 501 LED types and really like the ones of the one you sent a link to. However, I think that they may not fit in the holes through which they need to go though as the LED 'head' is quite big. You can see with the pictures below how much bigger it is... http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...DVANCEDLED.jpg http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19/AmarS8/W5W.jpg If you do manage to get them to fit, mind taking a few piccies of what they look like? ... i too have the standard xenons (rather than the bi-xenons). Thanks, Oli |

Hi Oli, I see what you mean, I'll make the hole bigger somehow. Ordered them today so hopefully they will get here sometime early next week. Heres a pic of an S4 fitted with them on another forum with one of the old ones left in for comparison. The bloke reckons they look swell when the Xenons are on and they match up colour wise nicely.
