That time of year again
Sorry all,
Not been that active on the forum of late. I've still got the 2004 D3, had her nearly 4 years now. I've reached that time of year yet again, annual MOT time. Wish me luck, she's going in next week with a couple of small known issues. 1) Headlight washers are broken yet again, they will be fixed again as every year but they seem to last a random amount of time before failing again. 2) I've still got the tiny split in the exhaust. Everything else is perfect, no knocks, bangs or clonking so hoping all the bushes are ok. She is most likely going to the same place that's done the previous MOTs in my ownership. I've done less than 6K miles in the last 12 months in the D3, so fingers crossed. |
Good luck! I had my MOT on Monday.
It was a real nightmare getting all the things fixed I left too late. Airbag warning light, Brake pad warning light, lightbulbs, Headlight stickers for UK, found nails in 2 tyres. And then to make things more fun, the night before the MOT whilst fixing the brake pad warning light on the instrument panel, I danced the ground wire across a whole bunch of pins on the blue connector when my hand slipped. The resulting sparks were worrying, the warnings and error messages when I put the ignition key in were even more worrying. For a few moments I gave up and wasn't even going to bother going to the MOT. Then I remembered to check all the fuses, and sure enough a 10A fuse was blown. Replaced it and everything was working fine. Note to self: when working on the electrical system always unplug the battery. After all that drama the night before, it passed the MOT with flying colours the next morning. Pheeeeew! |
Good luck. Mine is in the MOT bay now.

brake pad warning light isn't a fail

Good luck on that, some time-consuming process to get the washers and install it not to mention split

I thought it might be ok but just could not risk it. As it turns out I made more of a job for myself then if I just left it. |

Do you have xenon or bi-xenon Goran? The xenons with the large projector lense have a moveable shade in the back which can alter it from LHD to RHD focus pattern and they have sufficient adjustment to adjust the aim from right to left. I wouldn't have thought you needed stickers at all  |

And it's done, straight through with no advisories.
I must drive the D3 more, it's done hardly any miles between this and the previous mot. MOT history of this vehicle Test date 24 July 2017 Expiry date 1 August 2018 Test Result Pass Odometer reading 159,623 miles |
