Hello all

I have just been quoted for 2 jobs and would value your opinions on if you believe they are realistic/expected costs or whether there are cheaper options out there.....

Replace anti-roll bar C link bushes - £220
NSF upper wishbone bushes - 4 x top arms - £1400
both inc VAT

Just to be clear I am not concerned about the quality of the work I will receive from the garage (in LDN) just interested where their quotes sit with others experience.

Thanks all

A few years ago I got the full front suspension rebuilt on my D3, with Lemforder parts for £1650 including alignment with a hunter system. But I live up north, and inflation has probably taken its toll also +++

It is expensive but par for the course.
The 4 arms can be rather time consuming (it can go well or be seized and difficult to seperate) so probably has a fair bit of labour to make sure they don't lose out..

There is no upper wishbone.

I did all 8 arms on my D2 on the drive with a trolly jack and basic tools for under £150

Thanks all,
Picked her back up this morning and everything seems a lot quieter, smoother and tighter.

Deep breathe. 2k. Tell you what though, small price to pay for the reliance and strain I place on this wonderful car.

Just watched a Chris Harris YouTube review of the BMW 320d. He reckons it's all the car anyone would ever need, he may well be right but getting in my S8 after a 7 day separation and driving 150 miles was heart-warming bliss!

If you say so:D. I don't have the S8 but I get the same when I drive my other car and then jump in to my V8+++

I had my upper track control arms replaced about 18 mths ago. But the front suspension is now noisy over any kind of bumps now. No surprise with the miles. So I may need to have mine done in time. It's not so much a MOT issue yet. More annoyance...

Or should I leave it and think about a replacement. Hmmm...
