ive had my catalytic converter stolen in broad daylight
cut off by a thief
they must have a heavy duty type pipe slice
police said 5 cars were done around the same time as mine

very poor security at meadowhall it seems all over facebook

Angle grinder used to remove wing mirror of a friend's Model S in a Waitrose (yes, Waitrose!) car park in full daylight (with cameras in the car park..) :-(

To quote a Depeche Mode track on their latest album, we're going backwards. Not good.

Is there a different class of thief that attends Waitrose then Steve? I would like to know as I am just about to go my local Waitrose. :) Tbh, I thought that it would only be financial thieves (bankers, hedge fund managers, PR and marketing people etc) that went to Waitrose. :)

My sister had hers taken from her diesel Galaxy, in London, parked outside her house a few years back. Who knew that was a thing?!

I understand that dealers will often remove the cats from vehicles on their forecourts or in their compounds as the risk of cat theft has become so high. And they will put signs up saying so!!

awolfinsheepsclothes 5th August 2017 07:34 PM

this has been happening around oldham, ashton, huddersfield area since cats have been fitted ( the 90s) usually on sprinters, crafters and the like , no need to even jack them up!!! DPF are expensive. its actually worse now they will break-in to a car just to steal the battery.

This is bad! This was a issue when I was into BMW e30's, where the BBS wheel caps use to go missing. Remember a guy put glue and glass dust on his caps+++
