MOT Time Again
MOT due 01/11/2017.
Left Gwen at home in a panic, I set off to the Test Station, collecting my £30 from the cash machine. Watched as the tester crawled all over, under and in the 8. Oh OK I give in, PASSED, not even a verbal. They gave me a cuppa whilst doing the paperwork, then washed the car for me. That storm yesterday had made a right mess of her. They used a foam wash thing. |
Congrats Ray +++
(on the MOT, and for getting a free cuppa and car wash) |
Big Red went for test today too. The tester went underneath, had a look around and then came back up and asked if there was anything I hadn't changed so he could start there :ROFL:

Good news Raymundo!
I like leaving the car for MOT, and over a coffee in the local Morrisons (incidentally their coffee is awful), checking online as the tester updates the MOT status. No more surprise calls. |
I used to do that but I now use the two sons of an old friend. Means that I can wonder round and join in the banter, also means that I'm updated as they go along. When I phoned last week to arrange it they both said don;t worry yours will be fine.
What I do not understand are the emissions. Here are my results over the last three years:- 2015 0.58 l/m 2016 2.56 l/m 2017 0.72 l/m Emission test seems to be a bit of a yo-yo :D I have not done anything that would affect this for more than three years. I did replace the engine ECU some four years back when the original died and had the replacement fettled a bit(a lot really) which improved consumption and power. |
