Queen's Birthday Flypast
 

Went straight over us on its way out of London between waypoints at RAF Northolt and RAF Halton. :cool:
SWMBO was outside on the phone discussing this evening social arrangements and was stopped talking by a low-flying (and VERY noisy) Lancaster. +++
Didn't see the Airbus A400M though, that would be rather interesting.

An added bonus to this is a flying restriction that keeps the pesky, noisy private planes out of the sky for part of the day. Some are offensively loud. :tuttut:

Apparently my wifes cousin was on board one of the RAF planes, and he's based in cyprus at the mo..... makes our V8 journey round derbyshire seem positively green by contrast +++

There was an A400M doing circuits at Exeter the other day. It piqued my interest because we've had a C17 Galaxy doing the same recently. The A400M looked similar from a distance with the high tail, but the props and muffin-top wheel housings gave it away when it got a bit closer :)
