Looking for an A8 LHD

I have just moved to France and need to buy a LHD A8 (2014 + onwards I think)... but am struggling to find anything keenly priced.

Don't expect UK prices, UK is a captive market with too high used car stock sellable only in the UK.
Used car prices in Europe are generally always higher.

The Owner and I had discussed that looking in Germany might be the best bet.

You are absolutely right about prices... living in the UK we don't know how good we have got it for that.

Half thinking that leasing might also be a good way..

I was shocked too when buying a car for my brother abroad (a Corolla)
I just could not get my head round the price being so much higher than in the UK, we do have it good here.

Been looking and still no joy... feels like it will be better to lease!

That's a WHOLE other can of worms.
