What aerial should I have
 

I have a 1996 A8Q which came with the Bose Stereo and in car phone but has an after market manual telescope aerial fitted. From wiring diagrams I have seen it shows the car having a motorised aerial, however all the other A8s of the same era I have seen have had fixed black aerials with what looks like some kind of wire spiralled around. Does anyone know what aerial I should have?

The motorised Aerial was standard fit until 1999, including the early facelifts.

The fixed black whip antenne was fitted to cars with factory fitted GSM phones. The GSM phone was standard on the S8 for example, so all pre face S8's should have the whip antenne.

We've sold quite a few of the black whips to replace the particularly problematic motorised telescopic ones, just leave the GSM aerial disconnected, or use it for your own handsfree kit..

Thanks for that, I have the phone fitted so I guess I would have had the whip, do you have any whips in stock and if so how much are they please?
