Really, trains totally, totally suck.
No wonder nobody rides on the dam things.
Here I am in 'first class' Well, no actually. My A8 is first class. This is like being stuck in captivity. I'm at the mercy of a train driver who can legally go 100mph plus but really, I dont think we are. My mobile barely works due to stupid thick glazing and even if it did I have no privacy to chat to anyone to pass the time.... I want some food, can I pull off and get some? No. Can I flag down the woman with the trolley. No. If I could, would she have anything nice at a sensible price. Doubt it. I have no seatbelt, no airbags, no crumple zones, no sat nav, no idea where I am or if we're running on time. And then, to add insult to injury we've arrived at Sheffield 10 minutes early, so instead of getting on with the job and getting me home and away from this hell hole, I have to sit at this station for a long time to make sure we dont leave anyone behind..... You'd think theyd thank us for doing them a favour if that were the case... .... and for this I pay £200+, and lose 3 hours of life each way minimum to cover a journey that would take less time in the 8 and cost only £40 in gas... <sigh> Oh well, at least in the middle of a city, and stationary, I get 5 minutes of bandwidth to bitch about the day...! I love my 8.... |
tell me about it.. Did Glasgow to Reading once... never again. No 3G signal so no work done. No WiFi on Virgin, so no work done.
Had mains, but couldn't connect to email so used laptop to keep PSP and iPod charged for the 10 hours it took each way. It's faster, cheaper and easier in the '8. |
Hahahahah hahahahah hahahaha! Oooops No Sorry; I mean you have my sympathy............
