Sun visor/vanity lights
Hi
Noticed passenger side vanity/sun visor light does not work Changed bulb with no luck Switch drivers side(working) over to passenger side and does not work on this side Could anyone advise why one side wouldn’t work? If fuse would both not work? Thanks |
There's a single fuse, so as you say, if it were the fuse then neither would work, and switching sides didn't help, that would imply a break in a wire somewhere on the passenger side.
Page 41 of the following PDF shows the wiring scheme, but never had one out, so don't know the layout of the wires or the location of the contact switch (I assume that's inside the visor). Possibly a dodgy earth wire, but that's just a guess. Current Flow Basic equipment From model year 2001.pdf |
Thanks
Not very good with electrics so would not know where to start lol |
Possibly the only ones who could help would be someone who's had the headliner off and knows where the wiring goes. MikkiJayne would be your best bet, so hope she sees this thread.

I may have just taken a headliner out and have it sitting in the workshop... :D
I'll have a look in the next few days. Pretty sure the wiring from the switch is inline with the lamp, but not 100% until I check. |
If it’s a headliner off job I will leave it as it is lol
