Hi,

for some reason if i put it on econ mode on any temp it blows out coolish air (need to get ac re-gassed) but when i dont have it on econ mode i can hear it running and nothing blowing out but every so often prob 5 mins or so it blows out very nice cool air. i believe the air conditioning flap may be faulty, any thoughs? But then why in econ mode does it blow constantly but sporadically when not in econ mode? Thank

Vagcom is your first port of call for these sort of problems - Most of the time a fault will be logged in the climate module, failing that, run an output test - This will force the climate to activate every flap and valve, almost certainly highlighting the culprit.... +++

Thanks when i had some audi specialists look at it they said the air reconditioning flap was faulty but i wasn't going to get them to do it and the other stuff mentioned so i went to ben @ avp but they had erased the fault code in doing so, hence ben could not locate anything but i have the paper work (diagnosis report or something like that) but im getting some work done on the 8th from Ben so hopefully will get it resolved then. one thing i was driving back yesterday and mr bmw x5 was trying to ride a little too close on my backside, put my foot down and i had to look in my rear view a few times to see the ever-expanding gap! s8 is the most understated cars out there and the fact that they are rare makes it even better,
