Understanding fault codes

Hi all - I have an intermittent amber 'general' warning light on the dash, the garage put it on their computer today and this is what it read. I'm hoping to get some (all?) of these repaired under warranty.

  • Do you think the O2 sensor would be a warranty part, or classed as consumable?
  • Same question for the pressure sensor
  • The Sunroof button - the sunroof works perfectly for tilt and slide. So I'm unsure why there's a problem
  • The rear passenger switch module - again the switches all work perfectly for seat adjustments etc.

Any advice?

You mention that there are no issues with either the sunroof or seat module. This is where VCDS, or ODIS that garages have would be an advantage, because the output you were given doesn't have any dates as to where the error codes were triggered. These could be old codes prior to your ownership, and the issues could have been dealt with prior. However, if the codes aren't cleared, they will remain there until they are. That's why when someone asks about a list of error codes, we tell them to save a copy of the codes, clear them all, drive the car for a bit and rescan. Then you investigate the codes that come back. In the long run, it saves time and more importantly money by not replacing working parts. I would check with the garage to see if they have any more data from the scan that they didn't include.

Personal opinion on the two sensors is they would most likely be classed as consumables on what is now a 9 year old car.

Codes were cleared about 2 months ago. He cleared them and it's booked in again in a week or two so will see what's fresh

It will be interesting to see if the sunroof and seat errors resurface, especially since they're working fine.
