Wtb: D2 s8
 

Hi all,

Appreciate this is my first post here so apologies.

Im on the look out for a D2 S8.

I currently have a stage 3+ Audi S4 B9, and want something else I can use as a bit of a daily and ive always wanted a D2 S8 so figure now isnt a bad time to look!

Ive seen a few on here, the owner of the merlin purple one and ive PMd him but no reply yet so opening it up here.

Welcome. Just be cautious when trawling the adverts, as the prices might be based on what the car "isn't"! The two commonest tag lines for A8/S8s are 'fully loaded', and with the S8 in particular, 'Final Edition'. There is a wealth of information on here, so whatever ones you're interested in, do your homework before parting with your money.

When you do get your S8, photos are a must. +++

Yeah ive done some research on it, FE would be lovely but just looking to see whats around or speak to anyone considering selling >)

I believe Sarg (on here...) might be considering selling his - with apologies to him if that's now not correct :rolleyes:..

There may be others, including (possibly...) me at some point in the future, but not right now. IMO you'd be better finding someone on here, as they tend to be better looked after, generally, and you can do a fair bit of research on what's been done on those cars by searching the following:

(1) the posting history of the car's owner and

(2) in some cases, reading the WITW ("What's In The Workshop") thread, if the car's been through Michaela's hands in the past

There are a few other good cars out there in the market, but they're hard to find, and it can be a bit of a lottery really - ask Marty, who recently bought his elsewhere...

Im not overly concerned about a car that may need a bit of work doing; im fortunate enough to work with the guys at awesome gti in manchester closely so I know I can get most things sorted if required, though I do appreciate (and agree) with your advice.

Hopefully Sarg sees this and lets me know :D
